Between crushes, fascinations and lust-have trends, our sea of inspiration is never-ending, which brings me to my latest obsession… the color MINT!  From my manicures to my midnight snacks, I just cant get enough.  I took a cue from my go-to hue and decided to inject a happy medium (literally) into my home. A new coat of paint can transform a room and your mood, but choosing the right color can be a little nerve-racking. I dove into this DIY with my head and paint brush held high knowing that Valspar’s Love Your Color Guarantee would be my safety net.  Make your home stylish from the floor to ceiling with a freshly painted feeling!

To create:  Chose three paint colors in a light, medium, and darker shade that hail from the same color family.  I chose Valspar’s Ultra Green (light), Beach Blanket (medium), and Sea Treasure (dark).
STEP 1: Trim wall with painter’s tape and use a roller to paint entire wall the lightest hue. STEP 2: Paint a bottom panel with the darkest hue. STEP 3: Mix your medium and dark shade together to create the 2nd darkest color and paint a section. Next, move up on the wall and paint the 3rd section the middle color only. STEP 4: Blend the colors together using a smaller paint brush that is DRY, until areas and lines bleed together. You may need to touch up with mixed paint as you go, as it takes on an amazing ombré effect.

Skin Care Products Reviews & Routines

Recently I have been searching for new a new skin care product since mine has not been working as well as it used to be before I got chicken pox (yes I just got them not so long ago) and now my skin has blemishes everywhere and it’s breaking out quite more than it used to. Now I know that the blemishes cause by the pox will begone soon (I wish soon enough), but I  the break outs that I have is really getting annoying. I mean before the pos I only probably have 1 or 2 pimples at least, and it’s not very often too. They will also begone in a week without trace due to the acne cream that I used currently. Now it’s just not working as well as it does, and I’m thinking that it’s about time to change and improve my skin care regimen.

First of all, my skin care routine isn’t very complex. I just start by washing my face, using a toner, I used to use moisturizer but then I stopped because silly me thought that my face is probably oily enough to survive without one (I know I should be using one), if I have any acne then I’ll use my acne cream, and now add to the routine is my scar cream so that the left overs of the pox will disappear very soon.

First I tried the essentials set of clean and clear products. It was very effective at clearing acnes and preventing breakouts, and my skin feels very clean and not oily after every usage. I really enjoyed using it. The moisturizer is also good for oily skin, my skin usually get oily in the middle of the day, but when using the moisturizer it doesn’t get as oily. It actually gives my skin that healthy glow look. Also overall the brand is not so expensive and for me it is so worth the purchase.

Although it has been really good for my skin, and it does made my face clearer from acnes, my face still has a few blackheads and whiteheads. And as a girl, who doesn’t wanna have a flawless face? And so I changed my cleanser into what I think is a more suitable cleanser for my problem into the deep action daily pore cleanser: the clean and clear deep action daily pore cleanser.

I love the smell of apples from the micro beads, and it’s written that it supposed to unclog your pores. I think that it did shrink my pores and my blackheads in my nose is not as visible as before, but it is still there. And so I’m not so satisfied with this product, but I still used it anyways since I have not find any other product that I trust enough to buy and try.

I also actually tried the clean and clear fairness face wash, but it doesn’t show any improvements on my blackheads and whiteheads. It does though still cleanse and prevents acnes really well.

So my clean & clear face wash has just finished and I’m trying out my sister’s face wash right now which is Garnier ‘Light’ Fairness face wash

I have only used it for a couple of days, so I couldn’t really see if it does improve anything on my face yet. Although it does give this different sense of cleanness on my face compared to the Clean & Clear products, in a way that my face would feel fresher and lighter. I guess it could give varieties of effects in different skin. So far I have no problem with this product.

I also changed my toner just yesterday into The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner.

It was love at first usage.

It probably sounds like I’m exaggerating, but I really can feel the difference on my skin. My acnes are disappearing a lot quicker now and my skin feels healthier and cleaner. I know that this is the result of the toner and not the cleanser because I changed my cleanser first then my toner.

I actually tried this once before from my friend, and at first I thought that it smelled a little weird, but then I love the warm feeling that it gives to my skin a few seconds after usage, also it really takes of any excess dirt or make up in your face. Another point of why this product is so intriguing for me is because it contains both tea tree oil and witch hazel, which is perfect for an oily skin like mine.

I did some research first before buying this product, since it is quite pricy and you wouldn’t want to put just any product on your face right? So I read quite a number of reviews about this product, and I found that many people especially those with oily skin love this as well and for some of those who doesn’t usually it’s because of the smell (it could be quite strong for some people). The more I read about it, the more captivated I am to buy the whole product line ! Sadly I didn’t have the money to do that ….

So I decided to buy the toner first, because I think that if it’s used after the cleanser, then it would probably give a better effect than the cleanser itself (might not be entirely true, but just my own silly theory). I do not regret buying this product, and planning on saving more money to buy the other products on the tea tree line as well. I also find the seaweed line quite appealing. Maybe I’ll buy that one instead? I’ll surely write another review when I do buy those things ! :D
